Trick or Treat... Smell my feet... give me something good to eat

Hello everyone!  Happy Halloween to those who enjoy this spooky, creepy and sweet holiday.  A word about my title - when my sisters and I were little we used to drive my mom crazy saying that.  She said we were being rude.  We never actually went to a neighbor's door trick or treating saying that, but it would bother my mom and we thought that was hilarious!

I love Halloween.  I don't get all creepy and scary or evil or anything like that.  I just love remembering my kids in their costumes and I super enjoy seeing other's little kids in theirs.  I also love making Halloween projects.  This is the last one I have to share with you.

Easy, adorable and done in minutes!  I used the Deckle Treat Bag and the Haunted House Silhouette cutting files to create these little treats for my co-workers.  They loved them!  I used some plain black card stock from Michaels for the bag and the Halloween stack of decorative paper also from Michaels.  These were perfectly sized for 3 pieces of candy.

Aren't they fun!  Now this treat bag can be sized bigger or smaller and change up the paper and you have sooo many options.  Birthdays, Christmas, Hanukkah, Easter, Valentine's, Because I like you... you name it, you make this treat bag into that!  This is a MUST HAVE file.

Best Witches to all my crafty ghoul-friends.

Sending Heartfelt Cards

Making cards for my lady friends is always a lot of fun, only when I have to send them far away, it gets a bit more difficult to keep it flat enough for easy mailing, while still keeping it interesting with a layered look. I'm pleased with how these 2 cards turned out!

The first one is done on a cream card base. I added stamping and alcohol ink sprays to the background for interest. On top of that I layered a heart doilie cut out. In retrospect I think it would have been even nicer had I embossed that heart!

The next card started with a white base and the doilie is  a more lacy design. I really like that!

I finished both cards with a handwritten sentiment on the hand cut banner, and a few sequins to add a bit of dimension, without adding bulk.

I used the Heart Doilies cut files

Hoppy Halloween Border

Hello all! I'm Sue from Scrappin with Mom.
It's almost Halloween and I want to share this cute border I made using the
Hoppy Halloween cutting file I added a few purchased embellishments to the finished product. The spider border on each side is a punch I have, but I know that Designs on Cloud 9 has a Spider Web border also.
I hope you all have a fun and safe Halloween!

Dreamcatcher

Hello! Evelyn here from My Little Craft Blog.  I wanted to show you this little dreamcatcher I made using the Dream Catcher file.  I duplicated the brown circle frame and the “beads” so I could use it in my window.  The white inner patterned circle fit in-between the two perfectly!

Feathers are popular design elements these days, too.  I see them popping up on cards and other projects all the time.

I think you could add real beads to this project before you glue the feathers on, but I don’t have any.  I like it just the way it is!  It’s perfectly suited to my paper crafting room!!

Things go bump in the night...

Hello friends.  I just love this time of year.  I love Fall, I love all the bright colors, crisp cool air, sweaters and boots.  *screeching halt sound is heard*  Uh, wait, I live in Florida.  There are no colors, there is hardly any crisp air and sweaters and boots - maybe 1 day a year!  So but no matter you live here in the states, Halloween is always so much fun.  Dressing up, getting candy and making lots of spooky cards and decorations.

I created a card using the Haunted House Silhouettes file.  Now I didn't necessarily keep them as their silhouette selves, but I love how my step card turned out.

On the left I used the spider web enhanced with a bit of glossy accents, the lamppost aged a little with Distress paint.  The ghost I cut twice, in white as is and then in black (I erased the eyes and mouth).  I did the same with pumpkin and inked the edges with Pumice Stone Distress ink.  I think this created an adorable haunted scene.

Would you like to have this card?  Leave a comment, I'll send it to the first person who leaves a comment with their favorite Halloween memory.

Thank you for stopping by!

Holiday card with Designer Card Sets

Hello Crafty Friends! We are officially in the holiday Season! Starting with my favorite holiday, Halloween!!  Yay... CANDY!! And with that I've kicked my holiday card making into overdrive! How is your card making going? Not so good you say... pressed for time... need something quick and easy? Great because Designs on Cloud 9 has great Designer Card set files!! These are great because each of these files are instant cards! Just add your choice of sentiment or stamp onto the coordinated label included.

Here I've used Designer Card 2 with Pink and Main's Punkin stamp set. I love the bright bold colors of Halloween!

     &

For this fall/ Thanksgiving card, I used Designer Card 3 with, another Pink and Main set, Happy Fall. This would also be great to make as a "GUY" card with all the dark earthy tones and sentiment.

     &

This super quick and easy winter/Christmas card was made using the Designer Card 1 file and the Snow Sweet stamp set by... guess who???
Of course, Pink and Main!!

    &

Super simple Super cute cards made in a flash using Designs on Cloud 9's Designer Card Series & Pink and Main Stamps!

But you don't have to just stick with the Designer Cards files to get the "designer" look.
Here I used these beautiful flourishes from the Floral Flourishes and a framed label from the Laurie's Labels set. Again, I paired them my cut files with stamps from Pink & Main. This sentiment is from their Thankful stamp set.

  &   &

Looking for to make something a little less formal... well, this next card is may be for you. It incorporates Designs on Cloud 9's I love Fall Owls set with Pink and Main's Turkey Day. A fun Thanksgiving card that could easily transform into an everyday card by changing the colors and sentiment.

    &

And, there you have it!! DC9 and P&M go together like PB&J!! Thanks for joining us!

Bright and Fun Birthday Cards

I like to make birthday cards for kids as I get to play with fun images and lots of bright colours! These 2 cards were no exception to my 'rule'!

I stenciled the backgrounds on both card bases before adding the images.

Inside I added a few stars to go with a handwritten wish/note -

The hippo and the penguins (and the larger stars) are from the Circus Animals Collection

And the greetings are from the Birthday Train Set. I really like the way it looks!

Football Season!

Hello all!  I'm on vacation in my home state, Washington. I come home every year in October to experience the beauty of FALL...my favorite time of year! The leaves are turning to so many beautiful colors, the air is crisp and cool
plus  Halloween is just around the corner! Lots of fun activities to do,
Pumpkin Patch, Apple Farm, Trick or Treat...but then of course it's also Football Season. With that in mind I have this cute page that I made for my son, the biggest Green Bay fan around. Of course being from Seattle I'm a Seahawks fan.

You can find the pattern Here

Just pick your favorite team and use those colors.
Perfect for high school football too!
I hope you all enjoy this time of year as much as I do!

Best Witches for your Mummies

Good Morning!  Melissa here with a great project to share for the upcoming Holiday.  I love Halloween.  I don't do a lot with it, but it was great when my kids were little and getting them dressed up for trick-or-treating.  I love making cards and treats, too.

Michelle's freebie a couple of week's ago was another adorable owl and I am so enamored by these little guys, I can't get enough.  My project features Witch Owl that I combined with a box idea I saw on Splitcoast Stampers.

Isn't this cute!?  I just adore how it turned out.  The image does have a sentiments "best witches" but after I was done I couldn't fit it anywhere.

The mummies are Cadbury "Scream" eggs wrapped in a strips of muslin (in the video she used sterile gauze strips which I didn't have).  Then I made the eyes with two sizes of circle punches and glued them on.

I hope you enjoyed my project today and Happy Friday!

Acorn Bear card

Hi!  This is Evelyn from My Little Craft Blog sharing a cute card I made with two Designs on Cloud 9 files.

The base is the Tri Fold card, found here.  This card comes with the base and the svgs for the patterned papers that go on top.  It's a great file to have on hand.  You can use it for all sorts of occasions.  I like to load my mat with a bunch of coordinating papers, cut them out, and mix-n-match to make lots of card bases to have on hand.

That adorable bear is discontinued now.  He's Acorn Bear.  I've had him for awhile, but this is the first chance I've gotten to use him.

On the inside, I put a bow made from Trendy Twine and Maya Road hemp.

This is what it looks like all opened.  I love the colors of the fall papers that were in my scrap pile.  They're from K and co.  I used brown skittles to decorate the acorn, and popped him up on dimensionals.
