The Right Shoes

Hi!  This is Evelyn from My Little Craft Blog.  I couldn't resist doing one more post on the Designs on Cloud 9 blog.

I made this card for a woman at work who loves to wear high heels!  This file is called The Right Shoes, and it fit her personality perfectly.  If you love this file, run over there right now, because today, February 28th, is the last day the store is open. Tomorrow it closes.

The card measures almost 12 inches across, because a lot of people have to sign it.  To make the base, I "assembled" the card on my virtual mat and welded it to a rectangle. Then I made an offset of that and welded it to a mirror image.  It looked like this.

I cut it out using white 12 x 24 Cricut paper, which I LOVE and can't seem to find anymore!  :(  The Happy Birthday was cut from a font on my computer called Adorable, and I think it is!  I love how pretty and feminine this card turned out!

Christmas turned Birthday

I really liked this little penguin with the huge present so I decided to turn the original Christmas design into a birthday card.
I like the way it turned out and will make a great card for a little person!

And here's the original Santa Penguin :

Super Girl!

Hi!  Evelyn from My Little Craft Blog here to show you a super card!  I used the daughter in the Super Family file to make a goodbye/good luck for one of my co-workers who is leaving to become a principal.

She has blonde hair, so that's what I used.  That paper was pre-embossed with little flowers on it.

Love that mask!

I created the background using clip art saved on my computer, called Teachers Have Class from Lettering Delights.

Pretty bird card

Hi! This is Evelyn from My Little Craft Blog.  I know it's not my day to post, but I wanted to share this gorgeous card I made using our A2 Card Fronts Birds file and encourage you to go pick it up while you can.

This intricate file cut like a dream, making it super easy to make an elegant, sophisticated card.
(or cards!)

I really like how the cage door is open so the bird can come and go as she pleases.  :)

Christmas Album

Every year over Christmas we take a family picture. This is a 'tradition' we started when our first son was born and we're still doing it, even if we are not able to all be together over the holidays. I thought it would be nice to have a pretty album to house all those pictures. Something can can be a keepsake and also be 'decorative' over the holidays.

I settled on using Graphic 45's "12 Days of Christmas Collection' for my album and decided to make my own album from scratch. I have some ideas of pages I want to make. I have a line up of ideas I found on 'You Tube' and then I found a very nice 'foundational' cut set to get the ball rolling.  The December Album files from Designs on Cloud 9 (these are still available here until the end of February 2015, after that date it will still be available at Michelle Currie's Silhouette Cameo store HERE)

I set out cutting a few pages and a bunch of words borders and shapes

I've only just started decorating some of these. It is a long term project, but I'll be updating this as I get stages done. I want to take my time to enjoy the process of making it and being pleased with the end result.

Michelle's files make it really easy to get started on the project, or would make a fine album all on it's own.

Swing card

Hi! This is Evelyn from My Little Craft Blog.  It's my day to post!  I needed some Thinking of You cards and decided to make them using the Swing Card.  I used the Alphalicious Cricut cartridge for the sentiment and made the flowers using our Happy Spring Flower file.  On the first card, I rounded all the corners.

On the second one, I left the corners square and put liquid pearls on all the scallops:

They both turned out nice!  You can get these, and any other file in the store, for 60% off your purchase of $10 or more until February 28th, when the store will close, so hurry on over!

Cards - Valentine, Friendship, Birthday....

Really I think these little cards will doe well for just about any occasion.

I added a bit of stamping to the background (one card front) and sprayed it lightly with alcohol inks. Next I layered down paper doilies, before sticking the 'library' pockets down. I had trimmed the pockets with ribbon beforehand. The stamped kitty image is by Penny Black.
I used the 'Library Pockets' Cut file from Designs on Cloud 9 to cut the pocket and matching (red) tag. I could also include another tag or item into the roomy little pocket.

Grab these files now at 60% off, before the end of February 2015, after which these will no longer be available!

Love Tree - revisited

Hi!  Evelyn from My Little Craft Blog here with another take on this Love Tree file.
My Design Team sister, Mitsy, beat me to the punch when this adorable freebie came out!  She made a beautiful card, as always, that you can see here.  I went ahead with my idea for a card anyway.  I wanted to make kind of a shaped card, but with only the front shaped.  Here is my card:

I had a lot of fun making this card.  I created it in Silhouette design studio.  First I "assembled" the Love Tree and made an offset.  I welded the tree to a 2.75 x 5.5 inch rectangle, then welded that to a 4.25 x 5.5 inch rectangle.  (See screenshot below.)  The cards open from the top.

Those tiny hearts cut like a charm!  I had zillions left over that, if I were very mean, I could put in the envelope as confetti to make a big mess for the recipient to clean up!  :)  Instead, I saved a few of them and had them float off into the sky.

Valentines Card

I'm relying on the clean and simple design to pave the way for the sentiment, that I think says it all.

I used a cut file from 'Life Cards - Love' for the front panel on the card. This I sprayed lightly with alcohol inks to set it off just a little from the background.

I cut a same size heart shape as the panel, through the front of the card, and stuck a felt heart inside the card so it will show through the opening.

More Cozy Mittens

Hi there, Crafters!  Evelyn from My Little Craft Blog here to show off our Cozy Mittens cutting file again.  I thought it was so cute, I just couldn't resist making some cards with my leftover cuts.  I don't know about you, but if I really like a file, I make as many as will fit on my mat so I have plenty of leftovers!  Just like leftovers from a good dinner make a quick and tasty meal, leftover cuts make quick and easy projects, like these cards.

I used a Cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder to emphasize the wintry theme!
